Objectiu de la convocatòria
Awards through which the European Commission aims to recognise women entrepreneurs and innovators who have founded a successful company and brought innovation to the market. The awards aim to raise social awareness of the potential and importance of women's contribution to the innovation ecosystem and to create role models for future women scientists and innovators.
Característiques principals
The following prizes will be awarded:
  • EIC Women Innovators prize: to the most talented women innovators from across the EU and partner countries. First prize €100,000, second prize €70,000 and third prize €50,000.
  • EIC Rising Innovators prize: for promising young innovators under the age of 35. First prize €50,000; second prize €30,000 and third prize €20,000.
  • EIT Women Leadership Award: to exceptional women leaders from the EIT community. First prize €50,000; second prize €30,000 and third prize €20,000.

    Requisits
  • The applicant must be ordinarily resident in one of the Member States of the European Union or an associated country.
  • For the Rising Innovators category, the applicant must be 35 years of age or younger (i.e. born on or after 1 January 1989).
  • The applicant must be a founder or co-founder of an active company, registered at least two years before the call.
  • Each applicant can only be a candidate in one of the categories.
  • Not have previously received an EU or Euratom award for the same activities.
