Objectiu de la convocatòria
With AECC TALENT, the Scientific Foundation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (hereafter FCAECC) extends its current fellowship programmes to an international level with the aim of attracting the most talented experienced researchers to Spain from all over the world. AECC TALENT will contribute to improving prevention, early diagnosis, disease monitoring and treatment of cancer patients, which are key intervention areas of the Horizon Europe Cancer Mission.

The current call will fund 19 fellowships
Requisits
  • Applicants of any nationality willing to join an excellent Spanish host organisation in cancer research.
  • Experienced Researcher (ER): at the deadline of the programme’s call, applicants must hold a doctoral degree and have a maximum of 8 years of experience in research, after PhD, following the criteria outlined for MSCA postdoctoral fellowships.
  • Mobility rule: applicants may not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the programme’s call deadline .
  • English proficiency: Applicants must have a demonstrable C1 level of English (both speaking and in writing)
  • Publications: Applicants must have at least a research article published or accepted within the last 5 years as first author (or co-first) in a first quartile peer-reviewed international journal at the time of application.
  • Availability: Applicants must be available full-time at the established start date indicated by their chosen hosting institution for a minimum period of 36 months.
  • Applicants may submit only one proposal for this call.
  • The Project Director must be based on one of the selected host research centres and may endorse various AECC Talent applicants and other researchers on his/her team with national FCAECC fellowships (projects and personnel e.g., Postdoctoral, Investigador AECC) or be an awardee of other FCAECC grants.
    • Dotació
    The AECC TALENT programme will provide excellent fellows with 3-year employment contracts, including Spanish social security coverage. The maximum total fellowship amounts provided for the benefit of the researcher and for the hosting organisations will be of 259.200€.

    Documentació
    1. Valid national ID (Spanish applicants) or passport (all nationalities) scanned on both sides.
    2. Scanned Doctoral Degree: (no older than 8 years by the time of application deadline on November 21st, 2024).
    3. Scientific proposal: A description of the research project to be submitted using the provided template.
    4. Sworn Statement of Compliance with Mobility Rule.
    5. Letter of motivation.
    6. Ethics issues table: using the provided template from the European Commission’s COFUND programme.
    7. Curriculum Vitae of the applicant: - maximum 4 pages- using the provided template.
    8. Curriculum Vitae of the Project Director. - maximum 4 pages- using the CVN online editor from FECYT.

    All documentation must be submitted in English.
