Objectiu de la convocatòria
FEBS Short-Term Fellowships support brief visits for scientific collaboration, advanced training, or the use of techniques not available at the researcher’s home institution. Applicants must hold a PhD or have at least one first-author publication in an international scientific journal.

Informació addicional
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but should be submitted at least three months before the proposed starting date. The proposed visit should not overlap with the period from 22nd December until 3rd January.
Requisits
  • Applicants should normally be scientists who obtained their PhD within the past six years, although duly justified career breaks, such as compulsory national service or parental leave, may be taken into account.
  • Applicants must be members of a FEBS Constituent Society, be working in a laboratory in a FEBS country, and seek to work in a laboratory in a different FEBS country.
  • The Fellowship should be taken up within six months of its award.
  • Short-Term Fellowships are not awarded for attendance at courses, symposia, meetings, or congresses, and may not be used to complement or extend another fellowship or scholarship.
  • Only one application from a given home lab can be considered, and only one application per host lab will be funded within any 6-month period.
  • Dotació
    Travel costs (second-class rail fare or economy flight) and a daily subsistence allowance of €100 per day.
    Durada
    Up to two months or, in exceptional cases, three months.

  • A letter supporting the application from an experienced scientist
  • A dated letter from the relevant FEBS Constituent Society confirming the applicant’s membership and the date they joined the Society.
