Application process:
  • Expression of interest: Potential candidates express their interest to submit a proposal by preregistering.
  • Submission of project outline: Upon positive evaluation of the preregistration, potential candidates receive a direct personal link (within 7 working days) for completing their application and for uploading their project outline.
  • The applicants of the best four to six submissions will be invited to submit a detailed research project by 1 September 2026.
  • The short-listed candidates will be invited for a presentation of their proposal and an interview.
    • Requisits
    Innovative early-career researchers (typically 40 years or younger). Leading projects in basic and/or clinical research, particularly translating new theoretical insights into clinical applications. Planning to pursue a completely novel research project not funded by other agencies. Able to provide the necessary infrastructure to carry out the proposed project.
    Dotació
    CHF 1,000,000 for the research project and CHF 50,000 as a personal prize for the successful principal investigator.
