Detall de la convocatòria

Característiques

Característica
Objectiu de la convocatòria
The PCF Challenge Awards support team-based research projects focused on prostate cancer with lethal potential. Preference will be given to innovative, high-risk proposals that are not currently funded.
Característiques principals
  • Basic, translational, clinical, and community-based research that will make a significant contribution to preventing prostate cancer metastasis, morbidity, or mortality.
  • Research proposals should have a high impact on the field. Incremental or "small-step" projects, and studies that do not address lethal or potentially lethal prostate cancer —such as diagnostics or treatments for low-risk localized disease— are generally considered non-competitive.
  • Highly innovative basic science programs will be carefully considered, but priority will be given to bench-to-bedside translational research proposals with strong potential to deliver near-term benefits to patients.
  • Preference will be given to teams capable of achieving the major aims within the funding period.
