Objectiu de la convocatòria
This grant program supports educational projects for healthcare professionals to increase awareness on the opportunities and challenges of applying artificial intelligence, integrated diagnostic and antifungal stewardship, and clinical decision support tools to enhance treatment selection and clinical management of patients with invasive mold infections (IMIs).
Característiques principals
  • Primary Area of Interest: Invasive Mold Infections (IMIs), specifically including Invasive Aspergillosis (IA) and / or Invasive Mucormycosis (IM)

  • General Area of Interest:
    - Needs assessment to identify knowledge gaps and opportunities in the application of artificial intelligence to improve the speed or precision of diagnosis, antifungal treatment selection or clinical management of patients with IMIs, particularly IA and IM, including the integration of clinical risk factors, diagnostic data or tools such as therapeutic drug monitoring.
    - Educational programs to raise HCP awareness of the opportunities and challenges of applying artificial intelligence, integrated antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship, and clinical decision-support tools to improve antifungal treatment selection and clinical management of patients with IMIs.
    - Educational resources to equip HCPs with the knowledge and tools to apply artificial intelligence to improve the speed, precision and quality of diagnosis, antifungal treatment selection and clinical management of patients with IMIs, integrating clinical risk factors and diagnostic test results.

    Requisits
  • The geographical scope includes Australia, China, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Korea, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. Proposals submitted by USA, Canada or Japan-based organizations for projects with a geographical scope aligned with these countries will also be considered.
  • Eligible professionals include infectious disease physicians, clinical microbiologists and mycologists, ICU physicians, onco-hematologists, internal medicine physicians, clinical pharmacologists, clinical pharmacists and other HCPs involved in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with IMIs.
  • Eligible institutions include professional schools in medicine, mycology/microbiology, allied health or pharmacy, healthcare institutions of any size, professional organizations or medical societies, medical education companies, and other entities focused on healthcare professional education or healthcare improvement.
  • Only organizations can receive grants; individuals and medical practice groups are not eligible.
  • If the project involves multiple departments or institutions, all must have a relevant role and the requesting organization must play a key role.
  • The applicant must be the project/program lead—or an authorized designee—and must be an employee or contractor of the requesting organization.
