Objectiu de la convocatòria
These fellowships are designed to enhance or complement MSc, PhD, and medical studies by providing additional funding for international research projects, internships, or other research activities. German students must undertake their fellowship abroad, while students based outside Germany must conduct it at a German research institution. Fellowships cannot be carried out at commercial organizations (i.e., in industry).

Característiques principals
Agricultural Sciences Fellowships: For MSc or PhD students in natural sciences, pharmacy, or data science, with fundamental or applied studies with relevance to the Crop Science industry.
Climate and Health Fellowships: For students of human or veterinary medicine, or MSc and PhD students in natural sciences, pharmacy, public health, or epidemiology with relevance to the impact of climate change on health. Projects focused on the health of women and other vulnerable populations, cardio-renal health, neglected tropical diseases, or respiratory health are encouraged.
Drug Discovery Sciences Fellowships: For MSc or PhD students in natural science, pharmacy, and data science, with fundamental or applied studies with relevance to the pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare (over-the-counter) industries.
Medical Sciences Fellowships: For students of human or veterinary medicine, or MSc and PhD students in medical engineering, applied medical sciences, data science in medicine and public health. Projects relating to the treatment of rare or orphan diseases are encouraged.

Requisits
Applicants must currently be enrolled in an MSc, PhD, medical degree, or equivalent program and must have an excellent academic record.
Bachelor students and postdoctoral researchers are not eligible. Students who will have completed their doctoral studies (thesis defense) before the end of the proposed fellowship are also not eligible.
Applicants may submit only one application per call. Multiple submissions will result in all applications being rejected.
Fellowship period is limited to August 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027.
Interdisciplinary and/or collaborative research projects, and projects that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations are strongly encouraged.
