Característica
Objectiu de la convocatòria
This program aims to advance the understanding of Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD), its disease mechanisms, and validated biomarkers with a clear context-of-use by supporting the development of drugs or devices.
Característiques principals
Proposals should include clinical trial readiness activities and early/mid-stage (phase 0–2) clinical trials with defined go/no-go criteria. Both novel and repurposed drugs and devices, as well as disease-modifying and symptomatic approaches, are eligible. Clinical trials should incorporate:
  • Biological mechanisms with a sound scientific rationale for FTD.
  • Biomarkers that allow evaluation of target engagement, downstream pharmacologic and biological effects.
  • Trial designs aligned with constraints associated with a rare disease population.
  • Clinical outcome measures that provide insight into drug mechanisms and disease progression.
  • Therapeutics applicable to sporadic or genetic forms of FTD, with particular encouragement for trials targeting sporadic FTD.
