Objectiu de la convocatòria
These awards recognize the achievements of women in science and support efforts to encourage girls and young women to pursue and remain in STEM (natural sciences, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine) worldwide. Applications are invited in two categories: Scientific Achievement (for early-career women researchers) and Science Outreach (for initiatives promoting engagement and retention of women in STEM).

Applications must be submitted through the online application form by 23:59 (UTC) on the deadline date.
Requisits
Scientific Achievement category:
  • Applicants should have made an exceptional, demonstrable contribution to scientific discovery and may have faced significant personal or professional challenges.
  • Applicants should exhibit the potential to develop and lead an independent research group.
  • Applicants must self-identify as women. Trans women, as well as genderqueer and non-binary people, are welcome.
  • Applicants must hold a PhD, an MD, or another doctoral degree obtained within the last 10 years. An extension may be requested for maternity leave or other relevant leaves of absence.
  • Applicants must hold a non-tenured position at the time of application.

    Science Outreach category:
  • Initiatives that either encourage girls or young women to pursue STEM studies, or increase the retention of women in STEM careers.
  • Applications from organizations, departments, individuals (of any gender), or project teams are eligible.

    Two winners will be awarded $50,000, and two runners up will receive $5,000.
