Objectiu de la convocatòria
This program supports early-career physician-scientists to conduct research and bolster the development of innovative targeted therapeutics. The proposed projects must be in any area of translational, clinical, or population sciences cancer research.

Requisits
  • Applicants must have a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, MD/PhD, DO or equivalent) in a related field.
  • Applicants must hold a faculty position at the level of assistant professor, instructor, research assistant professor, or equivalent. Applicants who have progressed to associate professor appointments are not eligible. If eligibility is based on a future position, it must be confirmed at the time of application and cannot be contingent upon receiving this grant.
  • Applicants must have started their first independent faculty position within the past six years prior to the start of the grant term. Exceptions to the six-year window may be granted for up to twelve months of parental or justified personal/family leave.
  • Applicants must be able to commit at least 50% of full-time effort in research (applies to total research, not just the proposed project) during the grant term.
  • Applicants must have independent laboratory space and be able to hold independent funding as confirmed by their institution.
  • Applicants must have a valid, active medical license in the country where the research will be conducted, and work at an academic, medical, or research institution anywhere in the world.
  • Applicants may not be candidates for a further doctoral degree, concurrently hold another AACR grant, or be, or have been, a Principal Investigator on a substantial independent research award.
  • There are no citizenship or geographic requirements.
  • By the LOI submission deadline, applicants must be AACR Active members in good standing (dues paid for the current year).
