Clinical Area: Cancer cachexia
Projects should focus on:
Recognizing the signs and symptoms of cachexia
Using diagnostic tools to assess, measure, and accurately document cachexia in patient records
Applying current strategies to improve appetite, lean body mass, or physical function in patients with cachexia
Understanding the role of GDF-15 and its potential as a therapeutic target in cachexia treatment
Identifying and considering patients for cachexia clinical trials, staying informed about emerging therapeutic options

Requisits
Organizations must be based in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, or Japan, although proposals with global reach are also encouraged.
Eligible applicants may include medical, nursing, allied health, and pharmacy schools; hospitals and healthcare institutions; professional organizations or medical societies; medical education companies; and other entities involved in healthcare professional education or improvement.
Only organizations can receive grants; individuals are not eligible.
For collaborative projects, whether within a single institution or across multiple organizations, all partners must have relevant roles, and the requesting organization must play a key role.
Clinical research projects evaluating the efficacy of therapeutic or diagnostic agents will not be considered.
