Objectiu de la convocatòria
This program supports innovative, investigator-led research focused on the human gut microbiota. Projects should explore interactions between the gut microbiome and the nervous system.
Característiques principals
Proposals may include both laboratory and clinical research exploring how the gut microbiome influences the human nervous system, including microbiome-driven mechanisms along the gut–brain axis such as neurotransmission, immune signalling, and neurological function.

Requisits
  • Applicants must be employed by a university, research institute, or other not-for-profit organization engaged in scientific research.
  • Eligibility requires a doctoral or medical degree (e.g., PhD, MD, PharmD) and at least five years of postdoctoral research experience at the time of application.
  • Applicants are expected to demonstrate a strong track record of research excellence and the ability to independently lead a competitive research project.
  • Only one application per eligible researcher will be accepted.
