Objectiu de la convocatòria
This grant program supports research focused on generating preclinical and/or foundational data to explore the therapeutic potential and mechanisms of TFPI modulation in non-hemophilia bleeding disorders.
Característiques principals
Clinical Area: Bleeding Disorders (excluding hemophilia)

Projects should identify and address preclinical and/or basic science data generation related to TFPI modulation and rebalancing in their local setting, including:
  • Rare bleeding disorders that arise from deficiencies in different clotting factors or pathway components but converge on a common functional endpoint of impaired thrombin generation (e.g., factor II, V, VII, X, and XI deficiencies, as well as von Willebrand disease)
  • Other diseases such as Glanzmann’s thrombasthenia (GT), which have distinct pathophysiological mechanisms
  • Other rare bleeding disorders whose mechanisms are not well understood (e.g., bleeding disorder of unknown cause, BDUC)
