The ERC Plus Grant supports outstanding researchers at all career stages in conducting projects that tackle major scientific challenges and could not be carried out with a regular ERC grant.

Requisits
Open to researchers of any age and nationality, residing anywhere in the world at the time of application, and wishing to carry out their research at a host institution located in an EU Member State or Associated Country.
Applications are open to all fields of research and follow a bottom-up approach with no predetermined priorities.
Research must be conducted at a public or private research organisation, which may be either the applicant's current institution or another eligible institution located in an EU Member State or Associated Country.
Principal Investigators are required to spend a minimum of 30% of their working time on the ERC project and at least 50% of their working time in an EU Member State or Associated Country.
A researcher may participate as Principal Investigator in only one ERC main frontier research project at any given time.
Applicants who received a C score at Step 1 in any of the three main ERC grant calls (StG, CoG, AdG) in 2024, or a B or C score in 2025, are not eligible to apply.
