Requisits
Applicants must be EACR members, hold a completed PhD, and have no more than 5 years of postdoctoral experience at the outline proposal submission deadline, excluding career breaks such as parental leave or long-term illness.
Applicants must be actively working in cancer research.
Applicants must have at least one first or joint first-author primary research paper published in English in an international peer-reviewed journal at the time of application. Conference abstracts and review articles are not eligible, and publication updates are not allowed once the selection process has started.
Fellows must be based at a European non-profit research institution for the duration of the fellowship.
The proposed host research group must not have any active fellows funded under any EACR postdoctoral fellowship programme at the proposed fellowship start date.
Proposed research projects must have the potential to advance understanding of cancer or address challenges in its prevention, diagnosis, or treatment.
Projects must be centred on evidence-based laboratory data and/or medical science. Projects investigating psychosocial aspects of cancer are not eligible.
Projects aiming to develop an application, commercial product, process, or device may be considered if they address a fundamental biology question.
Applicants may submit only one application per call.

Dotació
€56,400 for the first year. Funding is based on the EMBO country-specific fellowship rate for the first year, with a 5% increase for each subsequent year.
