Requisits
Applicants must be scientists who obtained their PhD within the past eight years. The date of the PhD defence will be considered, rather than the date stated in the university certificate. Some discretion may be applied in the case of career breaks.
Before their current employment, applicants must have worked in a different country for at least two years, not necessarily continuously.
Applicants must be employed as salaried group leaders by the Host Institution for at least one year before the proposal submission, regardless of the source of their funding. They must also have secured financial support at the Host Institution for the full three-year duration of the Award.
Host Institutions must be universities or research centres established in a country with a FEBS Constituent Society.
Applicants must be current members of a FEBS Constituent Society.
Scientists who received a FEBS Long-Term Fellowship before their current employment are not eligible if the Host Institution is the same.
In each call, no more than one candidate may be awarded per Host Institution.

Dotació
€100,000 to be used exclusively to purchase small equipment (maximum €15,000 in total) and consumables related to the project.

Research proposal
Statement from the Host Institution confirming that the applicant is employed in a salaried capacity and indicating the duration of the contract
Letter of support from the head of the host laboratory, department or institute
Lletter of support from a referee
Letter of agreement between the applicant and the Host Institution
FEBS Constituent Society membership letter
