Objectiu de la convocatòria
This program supports dermatology research projects in basic, translational, technical, epidemiological, and clinical research.
Característiques principals
  • Applications are welcome for research projects that:
    - Improve understanding of the medicinal, biological, chemical, or pharmacological mechanisms underlying dermatological diseases and their symptoms.
    - Address clinical issues affecting people at risk of developing, or already living with, a skin disease, including impacts on quality of life and societal costs.
  • Clinical trials must be investigator-initiated and independent of commercial interests.
  • Projects on skin cancer, research involving commercial companies or drug testing for commercial purposes, and research in aesthetic/cosmetic dermatology are not supported.

    Requisits
  • Applicants must hold a PhD degree or equivalent academic qualifications and act as Principal Investigator of the proposed project.
  • Applicants must be affiliated with a university, hospital, or other non-profit organization acting as host organization.
  • Only one application per call may be submitted by each applicant, and grantees may only hold one active LEO Foundation grant at any given time.
  • Only one resubmission of a previously reviewed application is allowed; all relevant changes must be described in a cover letter uploaded with the mandatory attachments.
