Objectiu de la convocatòria
This program provides mentored research funding to early-career investigators in global oncology. It supports individual and collaborative research projects addressing cancer-related needs in resource-limited settings, as well as questions of shared concern between high- and low-resource settings.
Característiques principals
Proposed projects include, but are not limited to, clinical and translational research, innovative care delivery, prevention and palliative care, implementation research, health systems, outcomes and economics research related to cancer control and care.

Requisits
  • Applicants must hold a doctoral degree, such as an MD, PhD, MD/PhD, DO or equivalent.
  • Applicants must be in the last year of a fellowship or training program, or within the first 2 years of a faculty/staff appointment at an academic institution or employment at a non-academic institution at the time of submission.
  • Applicants must be within 10 years of obtaining their terminal degree at the time of submission. Exceptions may apply for foreign medical graduates whose medical degree falls outside this period.
  • Applicants should demonstrate an interest in oncology or a related field and be working in an oncology setting. Oncology-specific training is not required.
  • Applicants must be ASCO members or have submitted a membership application with the grant application.
  • Applicants must have a contractual obligation with the sponsoring organisation.
  • Applicants must be able to commit at least 60% of their full-time effort to research during the award period. This applies to total research activity, not only to the proposed project.
