Objectiu de la convocatòria
This program funds innovative research to advance the understanding, prevention, and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Two award types are available: Postdoctoral Fellowship Awards and Standard Awards.

Característiques principals
Postdoctoral Fellowship Awards support postdoctoral researchers in the final stages of mentored training. These awards fund projects conducted in an established laboratory and are intended to serve as the basis for the applicant's future independent research career.
Standard Awards are divided into two tracks, the Early Career Investigator Track and the Independent Investigator Track. Both tracks support high-risk, high-reward, innovative research and are intended for independent researchers at different career stages.

Requisits
An individual laboratory may hold only one active Alzheimer's Disease Research Grant.
Postdoctoral Fellowship: Applicants must hold an MD, PhD, DVM, DO, OD, or equivalent degree, be within 5 years of degree conferral or the end of residency, and have a mentor and an active individualized training plan. Pending appointments may be accepted if finalized by the award start date, and eligibility may be extended by one year in certain circumstances.
Standard Award – Early Career Track: Applicants must hold an MD, PhD, or equivalent degree, be within 15 years of degree conferral, serve as Principal Investigator, and hold a position that allows independent research and grant management.
Standard Award – Independent Investigator Track: Applicants must hold an MD, PhD, or equivalent degree, hold an independent research position, and not hold an active R01 (or equivalent) for the same or a closely related research topic.
