Objectiu de la convocatòria
The Brain Prize has been established by a private Danish foundation, the Grete Lundbeck European Brain Research Foundation. The Prize recognizes highly original and influential advances in research on the nervous system. It is intended to raise the visibility of European neuroscience and to be a stimulus to this important field of research.
Característiques principals
  • Nominees must have made outstanding contributions to European neuroscience.
  • They can be of any nationality but the research for which they are nominated must have been conducted in Europe or in collaboration with researchers in Europe.
  • If several researchers have contributed significantly to this achievement, more than one individual may receive the Prize.
  • Without any requirements in terms of affiliation and without any reference to formal retirement, nominees should be expected to be able to continue their contribution to brain research for at least a further decade.
  • Self-nomination is not accepted, and nominees should not be informed of their nomination.
  • Nominations are valid for three years.
