Objectiu de la convocatòria
The European Foundation for Alcohol Research is an independent European alcohol research foundation. ERAB was established to fund biomedical and psychosocial research into beer and other alcoholic drinks.
ERAB has invited applications for funding of any aspect of biomedical or psychosocial research into beer or alcohol from researchers from an established European research institution or university every year since 2003.

Requisits
  • Research Groups who have received funding from ERAB are discouraged from reapplying for 3 years after the date of the successful application
  • Applicants may apply as principal investigator on one application and co-applicant on others but only one grant may be awarded to any institution in any year
  • Requirement for formal ethical approval is mandatory and evidence of approval must accompany the application.
  • ERAB accepts applications from Israel, Norway, Switzerland and Iceland but only for research undertaken in partnership with a member of the European Union.

    € 50,000 per annum.

    1 or 2 years.
    Documentació
    Please send your completed application form to the Chair of the ERAB Advisory Board, Professor De Witte together with:
  • evidence of approval of the study by the relevant ethical committee / authority; and
  • agreement to administer the research from the head of your department or faculty.
    Please note that in addition to the above mandatory requirements it is also important to have the assurance from your institution that:
  • if your grant application to ERAB is successful, funding will be accepted; and
  • the ERAB contract, which is made bewteen ERAB, the institution and the researcher can be agreed to without amendment. A sample contract is available to view in ERAB's website.
