Objectiu de la convocatòria
ERS is the leading professional organisation in its field in Europe. It is broad-based, with some 10,000 members and counting in over 100 countries. Its scope covers both basic science and clinical medicine. ERS seeks to alleviate suffering from respiratory disease and promote lung health through research, sharing of knowledge and through medical and public education.
Característiques principals
ERS Gold Medal in ILP is financially supported by Boehringer Ingelheim.
ERS presents this award to recognise excellence in the field of ILD (Interstitial Lung Disease) research. The ERS ILD Gold Medal grants € 50,000 to a researcher who has made an outstanding contribution in the field of ILD and who is currently pursuing an active research project in ILD.
Researchers working in the fields of basic science, pathophysiology, epidemiology, prevention, clinical practice, diagnosis, treatment, or rehabilitation are all able to apply.

Requisits
The Grant is exclusively reserved for candidates who are 55 years of age or under at the time of the application deadline. There are no geographical restrictions on applicants.
People who have received an ERS Gold Medal previously, or any other ERS award or grant in the last three years, are not eligible to apply.
The selection of the successful candidate will be made by the ERS Science Council. The Medal’s applications are judged independently of the sponsor on the basis of scientific merit.
The Gold Medal funding must be used to support a research or training project in the field of ILD and will be partially given to the institution at which the project is ongoing.
Dotació
50,000 €, to be split between the awardee (10%) and the institution (90%). The amount must be used to support a research or training project in the same field of respiratory medicine awarded.
The awardees will ba also be offered the registration and receive an invitation to the ERS Speakers Dinner. The Awardee will also receive Life ERS Membership.
