Objectiu de la convocatòria
The EuroNanoMed ERA-NET serves as a platform for European funding agencies and ministries, to develop joint activities and programmes in order to coordinate high quality research in Nanomedicine across national borders.
The aims of the call are:
  • To support translational research projects that combine innovative approaches in the field of Nanomedicine and;
  • To encourage and enable transnational collaboration between public and private research groups from academia, clinical/public health research or research teams from industrial enterprises (all size). The participation of Medical Doctors and SMEs will be strongly encouraged.
  • Característiques principals
    Project proposals will address multidisciplinary and translational research. The project proposals must cover at least one of the following areas that are equal in relevance for this call:
    a) Regenerative medicine
    b) Diagnostics
    c) Targeted delivery systems
    The projects should fall within Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 3-6, although for being realistic and coherent with the characteristics of the call, projects should propose advancements for a maximum of two TRL levels during their lifetime.

  • Requisits
    A consortium applying to this call will be required to include research group(s) from at least 2 of the 3 following categories, if eligible according to relevant national/regional funding organisations’ regulations for research funding:
  • Academia (research teams working in universities, other higher education institutions or research institutes);
  • Clinical/public health sector (research teams working in hospitals/public health and/or other health care settings and health organisations). Participation of Medical Doctors is encouraged;
  • Enterprise (all sizes of private companies). Participation of small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) will be encouraged.

    Please note! Whilst applications will be submitted jointly by groups from several countries, individual groups will be funded by the individual EuroNanoMed III funding organisation respective of the country/region from which applicants have applied. The applications are therefore subjected to eligibility criteria of individual funding organisations. Applicants are strongly advised to contact their national representatives as soon as possible in order to confirm with their eligibility.

    Only transnational projects will be funded. Each consortium submitting a proposal will need to involve a minimum of 3 eligible and a maximum of 5 eligible partners from at least 3 different countries participating to the call (see list below) though no more than 2 eligible partners from the same country participating in the call will be accepted in one consortium.

    Research groups not eligible to be funded (e.g. from non-funding countries or not fundable according to national/regional regulations of the participating funding countries) may participate in transnational projects if they are able to secure their own funding. However, no more than one research group with own funding can be included in a consortium and the coordinator must be eligible to be funded by EuroNanoMed III participating countries/regions.

    Applicants are encouraged to include partners from the following participating countries, which are either new in the EuroNanoMed consortium or their community has been under-represented in past EuroNanoMed calls: Belgium, Estonia, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Taiwan, and Turkey. If they include such partners, the maximum number of partners can be increased to seven (see table in page 7 of the call text).

    Participating countries: Belgium / French speaking community, Canada (Quebec), Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Taiwan and Turkey
  • Dotació
    For Spanish participants (ISCIII):
  • Up to 100.000 € per partner (overheads included)
  • Up to 150.000 € per coordinator (overheads included)
  • Durada
    Fins a 3 anys, depenent de les condicions particulars de cada país.
    Incompatibilitats
    Only one proposal per partner is allowed. Multiple submissions are not allowed.
    AVÍS IMPORTANT
    Spain participates in the call with 3 funding organisations: CDTI, ISCIII and MINECO. Please note that IMIM is eligible through ISCIII and should follow ISCIII's eligibility and funding rules (please see pages 41-42 of the Guidelines for detailed eligibility and funding rules).

    Applicants are strongly advised to contact their relevant funding organisation contact person before submitting an application; please note that for some countries/regions it might be mandatory.
