Objectiu de la convocatòria
The mission of the 2017 Global ASPIRE Young Investigator Research Awards in Endocrinology is to advance the medical knowledge of the fundamental mechanisms of disease, mechanisms of action of current and potential future treatments, and to improve the care of patients with endocrine disorders.
The 2017 Global ASPIRE Young Investigator Research Awards in Endocrinology is designed to:
Support young investigators working in the field of endocrinology.
Advance the understanding of disease mechanisms or treatments through translational basic science or clinical research in order to enhance the clinical care of pediatric and young adult patients with endocrine diseases.

Característiques principals
Funding will be provided to research proposals that seek to explore translational or clinical research in the area of endocrine disease in children and young adults to address:
Morbidity and mortality in Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency or Acromegaly
Impact and/or needs of the patient with Growth Disorders during the pediatric and transitional years/young adult life
Novel strategies including Quality of Life and Patient Reported Outcomes to evaluate and treat acromegaly or Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency.
Early diagnosis and treatment of Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency or Acromegaly

Requisits
Applicants must:
have a professional degree (MD, PhD, PharmD or equivalent)
be no more than 10 years post-graduate training
Investigators are expected to generate exploratory data to better understand disease pathogenesis, genetic risk factors, potential new therapeutic targets or clinical responses, including adherence to therapy.
