Objectiu de la convocatòria
The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation is the largest philanthropic organization dedicated to research across all brain and behavior disorders (not disease specific). Recipients of NARSAD Grants represent an extraordinary variety of disciplines. Research has included (but is not limited to) studies in: genetics, neurobiology, molecular biology, imaging, neurochemical studies, neurophysiology, electrophysiology, clinical psychopharmacology, descriptive clinical studies, epidemiological research, treatment modalities, cognition studies, and outcome and prevention research.
Característiques principals
The NARSAD Distinguished Investigator Grant program supports basic and/or clinical investigators. However, research must be relevant to schizophrenia, mood disorders or other serious mental illnesses including research with anxiety, bipolar disorders, personality disorders or early and or late onset of severe brain and behavior disorders.

Requisits
1) Applicants must be a full professor (or equivalent), and maintain peer reviewed competitively funded scientific programs;
2) May not receive the award for a second time;
