Objectiu de la convocatòria
The aim of the INTER mobility programme is to promote the exchange between research groups from public research institutions in Luxembourg, and leading research groups abroad, between 6 weeks and 1 year. The funding covers the salary of the researcher, travel costs and a mobility allowance.

Informació addicional
The FNR has two calss per year, January and June. Communication of funding decisions are in April and October.
FNR funding may start at any moment in time as requested in the proposal. FNR funding may also be granted retroactively up to the date of submission to the FNR.
Requisits
Researchers must:
  • not have benefitted from support by a Mobility OUT within the last three years for applying to another OUT grant;
  • not have ongoing Mobility grants for applying to a next one.
    The researcher can submit up to 1 Mobility IN application per 12 months (excluding resubmissions);

    This programme does not support research stays of early stage researchers (e.g. PhD candidates).
    • Dotació
  • Salary costs of the researcher comparable to a standard salary of a researcher (with the same track record) of the Luxembourg host institution. If the researcher still benefits from a salary of his/her home institution, the FNR funding will be reduced accordingly.
  • Travel costs: 1 round trip per cumulated stay of 3 months for the researcher; 1 round trip per cumulated stay of 6 months, per family member, if applicable.
  • Mobility allowance: €1500/month: Researcher being accompanied by family and staying longer than 6 months; €1000/month: Researcher without accompanying family or research stays shorter than 6 months.
  • Other costs (upon justification and/or in exceptional circumstances), e.g. Visas, additional health insurance, child care.
    • Durada
    Minimum 6 weeks and maximum 1 year. If justified, the research stay may be split in several intervals of at least 2 weeks each.
