Selection process:
  • First, an outline of the proposed project will be evaluated. The deadline for submission of the project outline is April 15, 2020
  • Authors of the most promising five to six project outlines will be requested to provide a full research project by September 1, 2020
  • Finally, interviews will be held in Bern, Switzerland in January, 2021.
    The announcement of the Award will be made in January 2021. The research work should start between March and December 2021.

    Requisits
    Investigators should be:
    •An innovative investigator early in his/her career (typically 40 years or less)
    •Involved in projects in basic and/or clinical research (specifically, the translation of new theoretical insights into clinical applications)
    •Able to provide the infrastructure needed to carry out the proposed project
    Dotació
    •Funding up to the amount of CHF 1'000'000 over 4 years, for an outstanding cancer-related research project.
    •A personal prize of CHF 50'000 awarded to the successful principal investigator.
