The International Centre for Neuroscience and Ethics (CINET), created by the Tatiana Pérez de Guzmán el Bueno Foundation, announces a call for scholarships to carry out research residencies at international institutions of the highest academic prestige.

Requisits
  • The scholarships will be awarded to natural persons who hold a doctorate, regardless of the date when it was obtained. Interdisciplinary profiles will be especially valued, but applicants with training in only one discipline (for example, neuroscience or philosophy) and who wish to undertake a residency to go deeper into a complementary field of knowledge (philosophy or neuroscience, in this case) will also be considered.
  • The call is open to people of any age who hold the nationality of a Member State of the European Union, and who propose to join a Spanish (in case of non-Spanish applicants) institution or an institution belonging to a different country (in case of Spanish applicants) for the term of the scholarship.
  • Applicants must have gained admission or have a firm offer of admission to an university or research centre for the requested period.
  • Dotació
  • An installation grant for a total amount of € 4,000.
  • Travel expenses to a maximum of € 1,200.
  • Health and accident insurance taken out by the Foundation (not extendable to any family members who may accompany beneficiaries during their stay abroad).
  • Annual gross allocation of € 40,000.
  • Annual family aid of € 1,200 per dependent minor child.

    The applicant will present the following documentation, in Spanish or English:
  • Application form.
  • A concise CV (maximum 4 pages), with special emphasis on their interdisciplinary training or interest in it.
  • Complete academic record. Photocopy of doctorate degree certificate.
  • Summary of the applicant's research career and areas of interest (maximum 500 words).
  • Summary of the research project (maximum 500 words).
  • Project description (maximum 5 pages), specifying the context, objectives, methodology, work plan and calendar, and what the residency will contribute to the applicant's interdisciplinary training and research topic.
  • Letter of recommendation from the research supervisor at the destination institution.
