Objectiu de la convocatòria
This award will provide funds to undertake a clinical research project in the bleeding disorders field.
Característiques principals
Focus areas for such projects include, but are not limited to:
  • Developing evidence to support international and national management guidelines
  • Role of tailored, individualized FVIII treatment regimens, for example, for maximizing protection in order to achieve active lifestyles
  • Pain management, for example, joint or muscle pain, pain due to chronic hemophilic arthropathy, dental, postoperative pain
  • Patient-reported outcomes: Definition, documentation, and clinical implications
  • Subclinical / microbleeds: definition, documentation and clinical implications
  • Variability of outcomes in hemophilia A subpopulations, including but not limited to, elderly, co-morbid and adolescents
  • Joint health and interventions in patients with moderate/mild hemophilia A
  • Observational data (RWE) on factor utilization and cost-effectiveness
  • Diversity and equity of access (e.g. mild/moderate, carriers, overlooked populations such as HIV positive, Hepatitis B/C)

    Requisits
    Any individual affiliated with a facility that carries out research in inherited bleeding disorders, or provides care to patients with these disorders, may make a request for these awards. Such facilities may include medical universities, hospitals, treatment centers, blood centers and laboratories.

    The maximum grant is US$75,000 over one year

    For one year

    Letters of Intent will be reviewed and only selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.
