Objectiu de la convocatòria
The WCRF grant programme accepts applications on the link between diet, nutrition, body composition, physical activity and cancer prevention and survival.
Característiques principals
An application to WCRF International must fall into one or more of the research themes listed here:
  • Identifying the mechanisms that underpin the effects of diet, nutrition and physical activity on cancer
  • Addressing the host factors that influence an individual’s susceptibility to cancer development or progression
  • For cancer survivors, we also encourage broader research into evidence for impact of diet, nutrition (including body composition), physical activity and outcomes after cancer diagnosis, as robust evidence on this is still lacking.
    Types of grants:
  • Investigator Initiated Grants (IIGs)
  • çpilot and Feasibility Grants (PFGs): start-up funds for preliminary research to allow to researchers to collect preliminary data or test study parameters to take them to a stage where an application for an IIG would be appropriate. PFGs could also study behavioural change in cancer survivors.
