Objectiu de la convocatòria
The AACR-Ocular Melanoma Foundation Joanne Barlia Research Fellowship represents a joint effort to encourage and support a postdoctoral or clinical research fellow.
Característiques principals
Proposed fellowships must conduct ocular/uveal melanoma research and to establish a successful career path in ophthalmology, ocular oncology, uveal melanoma biology, or a similar field. The research proposed for funding must be translational or clinical in nature and must have direct, primary applicability and relevance to ocular/uveal melanoma.

Requisits
Applicants must have a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent) in a related field and not currently be a candidate for a further doctoral degree.
At the start of the grant term on July 1, 2024 applicants must:
  • Hold a mentored research position with the title of postdoctoral fellow, clinical research fellow, or the equivalent.
  • Have completed their most recent doctoral degree within the past five years (i.e., degree cannot have been conferred before July 1, 2019; the formal date of receipt of doctoral degree is the date the degree was conferred as indicated on your diploma and/or transcript).
  • Work under the auspices of a mentor at an academic, medical, or research institution anywhere in the world.
  • Be an active member of the AARC.
  • There are no citizenship requierements, but the applicant must have the right to work in the country of residency.
