COMISSIÓ EUROPEA
ERA-NETs are projects funded by the European Commission in various research fields. Their goal is to create a European Research Area in which research is conducted and funded across countries, allowing research groups to jointly work on specific problems, exchange ideas, and benefit from cross border expertise.
The current project NEURON II co-ordinates national and regional programmes for disease-related neuroscience research in 24 participant funding organisations across 18 European Member States, Israel as an Associated Country, and Canada.

Purpose:

    AGAUR - AGENCIA DE GESTIO AJUTS UNIVERSITARIS DE RECERCA
    L'objecte d'aquesta convocatòria és el finançament de projectes d'innovació que es trobin en les fases inicials dins l'escala de maduresa tecnològica per a la valorització de coneixement amb potencial d'incorporació al sector productiu. Els projectes han d'estar destinats al reforç de la protecció del coneixement generat i a les primeres proves (preprototips), i a la definició de la ruta de comercialització, la generació del model de negoci, l'anàlisi de viabilitat tecnològica i comercial o el disseny de prova de concepte, entre d'altres. Així mateix, l'ajut inclou un pla de formació orientat al desenvolupament de projectes innovadors que reforçarà el procés de treball en equip i serà conduït per la UC Berkeley. El seguiment d'aquest pla permet obtenir un certificat en emprenedoria. Paral·lelament, es coordinarà un pla de formació local que, juntament amb la participació dels mentors empresarials, haurà d'ajudar els equips de recerca a fer un salt qualitatiu en l'estratègia de valorització del seu coneixement o tecnologia i a adquirir noves capacitats i habilitats útils per a desenvolupaments posteriors.

    IMI is a partnership between the European Union and the European pharmaceutical industry, represented by the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA).
    The goal of the Innovative Medicines Initiative 2 (IMI 2) is to develop next generation vaccines, medicines and treatments, such as new antibiotics.     EUROPEAN FOUNDATION FOR THE STUDY OF DIABETES (EFSD)
    The European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD) was created by the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) to provide funding initiatives in all areas of diabetes research. The aims of EFSD are to encourage and support research in the field of diabetes, to rapidly diffuse acquired knowledge and to facilitate its application.
