CONCERN FOUNDATION
Concern Foundation has funded well over 650 pediatric and adult cancer researchers worldwide studying many forms of cancer, primarily in the areas of immunology, immunotherapy, and the genetics of cancer. Concern specifically funds researchers who lack financial support for their first major research project and provides critically needed start-up funds for promising projects.

    L'objecte de la present convocatòria és la tutoria de projectes de valorització dels actius resultants de la investigació, per al seu trasllat al mercat, ja sigui com un spin-off o com un acord de transferència, que requereixen la validació i desenvolupament de la seva proposta de generació de valor.
    Més específicament, el programa donarà suport a projectes de les àrees de la Vida, Medicina i Ciències de la Salut proposades pels centres, basats en actius per als quals s'ha sol·licitat o serà sol·licitada una patent o model d'utilitat, i destinats a afegir valor per a la seva transferència al mercat.

    COMISSIÓ EUROPEA
    The joint action “Nutrition and Cognitive Function” (NutriCog) aims at promoting research activities that address the interrelation of diet and cognitive function. This knowledge will lay the basis for dietary preventive strategies and recommendations to guide individuals and populations towards health promoting dietary habits.

    The objective of the NutriCog Call is to support ambitious, innovative and transnational collaborative research projects that will address important questions relating to the interplay between nutrition and cognitive function. Both the influence of dietary patterns (and/or dietary constituents, where appropriate) on cognitive functions and vice versa the effects of Central Nervous System nutrient signaling and cognitive processes on food intake, dietary patterns and eating behaviour are relevant for this call.
    Proposals have to follow a multidisciplinary approach and should cover multiple areas, such as mechanistic/experimental research, translational research, epidemiological research and pilot/proof of principle studies for interventions.

    Tres modalitats:
  • Modalitat A. Estada de 2 anys.
    L´objectiu d´aquesta modalitat és donar el suficient temps per a què el becat iniciï i finalitzi un projecte de recerca translacional. Aquesta modalitat està especialment indicada per projectes amb un fort caràcter bàsic- translacional que requereixin l´aprenentatge i desenvolupament de tècniques de laboratori per part del becari. Es permet que hi hagi un component clínic però aquest no hauria de sobrepassar el 25% del temps dedicat a la recerca.
  • Modalitat B. Estada d'un any.
    L´objectiu d´aquesta modalitat és que el becat participi de firma directa en un projecte de recerca translacional que ja estigui funcionant i/o pugui finalitzar-se en el temps establert. Aquesta modalitat està especialment indicada per a projectes amb un fort caràcter clínic-translacional.
  • Modalitat C. Estada igual o inferior a 6 mesos.
    L'objectiu d'aquesta modalitat és que el becat pugui realitzar una estada breu en un centre de referència en l'estranger que li permeti obtenir uns coneixements i unes experiències útils per a poder ser aplicades, a curt o llarg termini, en el seu centre d'origen
