The European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD) was created by the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) to provide funding initiatives in all areas of diabetes research. The aims of EFSD are to encourage and support research in the field of diabetes, to rapidly diffuse acquired knowledge and to facilitate its application.

    El finançament de projectes d'innovació que es trobin a les fases 1 i 2 dins l'escala de maduresa tecnològica 1 per a la valorització de coneixement amb potencial d'incorporació al sector productiu.     L'objecte d'aquestes bases és finançar projectes destinats a l'obtenció de prototipus i a la valorització i transferència dels resultats d'investigació generats per equips de recerca de Catalunya.
