The ERC Scientific Council will introduce several changes that will be effective in the next Work Programme, which is expected to be released in July 2023.

The changes affect:
- research assessment: changes in the CV and Track record sections
- the evaluation procedure: limits to the number of proposals invited to step 2
- introduction of lump sum funding for Advanced grants: payments based on the work carried out, irrespective of the actual costs incurred
- tentative calendar: change of deadlines for CoG (12-Dec-23) and AdG (29-Aug-24)
