The UK and the European Commission have reached an agreement to allow the association of the country to Horizon Europe.

the agreement confirms that UK will be able to fully participate from 1 January 2024 in the 2024 work programme and onward, including 2024 calls that open this year.

For calls under the 2023 work programe, UK researchers will still have to use UK backup guarantee scheme and will not able to coordinate or receive ERC grants.
