The 2026 edition of the ERC Proposal Reading Days has been announced, offering researchers access to previously funded proposals to better understand the programme and strengthen future applications.

Eligibility and Registration Requirements

Participants must be eligible for an ERC 2027 call or the Advanced Grant 2026 and be active researchers at a Spanish institution intending to apply as Principal Investigator. Participation is limited to one Reading Day per person. Registration must be completed at least 7 days before the event.

Format and Programme

Sessions are held fully in person and are limited to 35 participants. The programme includes a 30-minute introduction with Spanish NCPs followed by 3.5 hours of supervised reading of two selected proposals.

Schedule and Locations

Eight events will take place across Spain between April and September 2026. Additional sessions will be held at FECYT in Madrid, with a capacity of 20 participants per day.
