Objectiu de la convocatòria
The Joint Programming Initiative "A Healthy Diet for a Healthy Life" (JPI HDHL) has been established to coordinate research in the areas of food, diet, physical activity and health in order to achieve tangible societal and health impact and to strengthen European leadership and competitiveness in this field.

The call "Biomarkers for Nutrition and Health" (BioNH)l will focus on the identification and validation of biomarkers that are modulated by diet and that indicate a change in health status and/or the risk of developing diet-related diseases. Biomarkers of physical activity may be considered alongside diet.

Proposals must be submitted by the coordinator through the JPI HDHL Electronic Submission system available at:

There will be a two-stage submission procedure: pre-proposals and full proposals.
- Deadline for pre-proposals: 19th April 2016 at 16.00 CEST.
- Deadline for full proposals: 15th July 2016 at 16.00 CEST
Requisits
Joint research proposals may be submitted by applicants working in universities (or other higher education institutions), non-university public research institutes, hospitals and other health care settings. Participation of private parties is encouraged as well as commercial companies, in particular SMEs. However, the eligibility of these organisations and institutions are subject to the national/regional regulations of the individual funding organisations and may therefore vary. Please see national/regional eligibility criteria in ANNEX 1 of the Guidelines for Applicants.

IMIM-PSMAR researchers are eligible through ISCIII.

  • Mínimum 3 / maximum 6 research groups eligible for funding.
  • From at least three different countries of the funding organisations participating in this call (see Annex A)
  • No more than two eligible partners from the same country.
  • Applicants are encouraged to include partners that are eligible for: the Belgium funding organisation SPW-DGO6, the Polish funding organisation NCBR and/or the Romanian funding organisation ANCSI. If they include one or two of these previously mentioned partners, the maximum of partners can be increased to seven or eight.
  • Additional participants called collaborators may participate in projects if they are able to secure their own funding.
  • The majority of research groups in a consortium and the coordinator must be eligible for funding for the participating funding organisations in this call
  • A maximum of two collaborators is allowed per consortium and the total number of partners and collaborators in the consortium must not exceed six (exception: inclusion of eligible partners from Belgium, Poland and/or Romania, see above).

    Each consortium should have the critical mass of different scientific disciplines to achieve ambitious scientific goals and the proposals should clearly demonstrate added value from working together.

  • Up to €100.000,- per partner (overheads included)
  • Up to €150.000,- per coordinator (overheads included)

    AVÍS IMPORTANT
    The funding of a successful project is provided based on the virtual common pot scheme, meaning that each funding organisation will fund its own national partner(s) within the project (funding of project partners is provided by the participating national programmes according to National Regulations).
