Objectiu de la convocatòria
With AECC TALENT, the Scientific Foundation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (hereafter FCAECC) extends its current fellowship programmes to an international level with the aim of attracting the most talented experienced researchers to Spain from all over the world. AECC TALENT will contribute to improving prevention, early diagnosis, disease monitoring and treatment of cancer patients, which are key intervention areas of the Horizon Europe Cancer Mission.

Requisits
Applicants of any nationality willing to join an excellent Spanish host organisation in cancer research.
Experienced Researcher (ER): at the deadline of the programme’s call, applicants must hold a doctoral degree and have a maximum of 8 years of experience in research, after PhD, following the criteria outlined for MSCA postdoctoral fellowships.
Mobility rule: applicants may not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the programme’s call deadline .
English proficiency: Applicants must have a demonstrable C1 level of English (both speaking and in writing)
Publications: Applicants must have at least a research article published or accepted within the last 5 years as first author (or co-first) in a first quartile peer-reviewed international journal at the time of application.
Availability: Applicants must be available full-time at the established start date indicated by their chosen hosting institution for a minimum period of 36 months.
Each Project Director may only endorse and host one applicant for this programme.

Dotació
The AECC TALENT programme will provide excellent fellows with 3-year employment contracts, including Spanish social security coverage.
Living allowance: 4,500€/person-month that will cover salary, Spanish social security costs including if
applicable the costs of contract termination after the 3 years of fellowship
Mobility allowance: 600€/person-month to cover private mobility-related costs (ie.. travel and accommodation costs).
Family allowance: 600€/person-month for those fellows with family obligations during the fellowship duration
Research, training and networking costs: These costs of 1,500€/person-month will be managed by host organisations and will fund activities foreseen in the Career Development Plan that contribute directly to the researchers’ career development

Documentació
Valid national ID (Spanish applicants) or passport (all nationalities) scanned on both sides.
Scanned Doctoral Degree: (no older than 8 years by the time of application deadline on November 23rd, 2023).
Scientific proposal: A description of the research project to be submitted using the provided template.
Letter of commitment from the target research centre: Once the scientific projects have been discussed with and approved by the potential Project Director, applicants must obtain a proof of eligibility for admission in the
hosting institution in case of been awarded (Free text, PDF format). The letter must be signed by the Director of the centre or his/her legal representative and by the Project Director.
Letter of motivation: where applicants explain their adequateness for the project.
