Grete Lundbeck European Brain Research Foundation
The Brain Prize has been established by a private Danish foundation, the Grete Lundbeck European Brain Research Foundation. Grete Lundbeck European Brain Research Prize – ‘The Brain Prize’- is awarded to one or more scientists who have distinguished themselves by an outstanding contribution to European neuroscience and who are still active in research.
The Brain Prize recognises highly original and influential advances in any area of neuroscience, including fundamental research on molecular, cellular, physiological and pharmacological mechanisms, studies of behaviour and cognition, advances in technology for monitoring the nervous system, translational research on the application of basic knowledge to clinical and other problems of humankind, and clinical research on the causes, treatment and prevention of neurological and psychiatric disorders.

AGAUR - AGENCIA DE GESTIO AJUTS UNIVERSITARIS DE RECERCA
L'objecte d'aquestes bases és finançar projectes destinats a l'obtenció de prototipus i a la valorització i transferència dels resultats d'investigació generats per equips de recerca de Catalunya.
Els projectes objecte d'aquestes bases han de correspondre a la fase de prova de concepte segons l'escala de maduresa tecnològica (les fases de prova de concepte corresponen a les fases 3-7 de l'escala de maduresa tecnològica, technology readiness level, TRL), segons el document inclòs al programa de treball de la Comissió Europea Horitzó 2020, Decisió C (2014) 4995, de 22 de juliol de 2014, i han de comprendre activitats estructurades de caràcter demostratiu que permetin l'assoliment d'una prova de concepte en forma de prototipus, escala pilot, prova preindustrial o assaig preclínic, entre d'altres, i que possibilitin reduir les incerteses sobre la viabilitat tècnica i comercial de la tecnologia en desenvolupament.

El finançament de projectes d'innovació que estiguin en les fases 1 i 2 dins l'escala de maduresa tecnològica (technology readiness levels, TRL), document inclòs al programa de treball de la Comissió Europea Horitzó 2020, Decisió C (2014) 4995, de 22 de juliol de 2014, per a la valorització de coneixement amb potencial d'incorporació al sector productiu. Els projectes han d'estar destinats al reforç de la protecció del coneixement generat i a les primeres proves (preprototips), i també a la definició de la ruta de comercialització, la generació del model de negoci, l'anàlisi de viabilitat tecnològica i comercial o el disseny de prova de concepte o a altres activitats similars que s'englobin dins d'aquestes fases.

INNOVATIVE MEDICINES INITIATIVE
IMI is a partnership between the European Union and the European pharmaceutical industry, represented by the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA).
The goal of the Innovative Medicines Initiative 2 (IMI 2) is to develop next generation vaccines, medicines and treatments, such as new antibiotics. It will build on the successes and lessons learnt under IMI. Like IMI, it will bring together companies, universities, public laboratories, innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), patient groups and regulators in collaborative projects that will pave the way for breakthrough vaccines, medicines and treatments to tackle Europe’s growing health challenges, and secure the future international competitiveness of Europe’s pharmaceutical industry.

MINECO - MINISTERIO DE ECONOMÍA Y COMPETITIVIDAD
The Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) and the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness (AEI-MINECO) invite early stage researchers based in Japan and Spain to submit collaborative research proposals for this call pertaining to the area of Nanomedicine. This call for collaborative proposals will require a set of applicants (co-applicants) who will be serving as co-Principal Investigators (PI) based in Japan and Spain to work in partnership on research projects. Japan-based applicants will be funded by AMED, while Spanish-based applicants will be funded by AEI-MINECO.

The aims of this call are to:
1) Strengthen research collaborations between Japan and Spain within the field of Nanomedicine;
2) Achieve world-class scientific results through the development and use of new and innovative technologies which can address the challenges facing the international community in the area of health research in both countries.
