FUNDACIÓN ALIMERKA
Els Premis Luis Noé Femández tenen com a objecte reconèixer expe­riències rellevants tant en matèria de nutrició com de lluita contra la gana. Per això podran presentar les seves candidatures aquelles entitats que hagin aconseguit resultats positius en algun d'aquests dos àmbits, i les experiències dels quals puguin generalitzar-se o ser referent per a altres entitats.
Nutrició: a l'entitat o grup d'entitats els programes de les quals o projectes amb col·lectius concrets, suposin una aportació rellevant en el camp de la Nutrició i la Dietètica, o bé de Ciència i Tecnologia dels aliments.
Lluita contra la gana: l'entitat o grup d'entitats els programes de les quals o projectes amb col·lectius concrets, constitueixin una aportació rellevant en la lluita contra la gana i la malnutrició, tant en països en desenvolupament com amb col·lectius vulnerables del nostre entorn.

FUNDACION MAPFRE MEDICINA
Es convoquen 25 ajuts a la recerca amb l'objecte de facilitar suport econòmic per a la realització de projectes d'investigació en les següents àrees: Promoció de la Salut, Prevenció i Seguretat Vial i Assegurança i Previsió Social.

Les àrees i línies temàtiques sobre les que han de versar els projectes d'investigació són les següents:

Àrea de Prevenció i Seguretat Vial:
  • Influència de l'educació en la prevenció d'accidents.
  • Prevenció i accidentabilitat en persones majors: domèstica, per als vianants, conducció,…
  • Influència del factor humà en la conducció.
  • Innovació en seguretat vial: mesures per a col·lectius vulnerables, vies,…
  • Reptes de les noves tecnologies: vehicle connectat i autònom.
  • Drogues i conducció: abast, experiències i estratègies de prevenció.
  • Mesures i plans de seguretat vial en països emergents. Comparatives amb desenvolupats.
  • Accidentabilitat i prevenció d'accidents: domèstics, d'oci, esportius…
  • Prevenció contra incendis i prevenció enfront de riscos naturals.

  • Programes de prevenció de l'obesitat.
  • Foment de l'activitat física.
  • Addicció a les noves tecnologies i altres riscos.
  • Noves tecnologies mòbils per a la promoció de la salut.
  • Estratègies per al canvi d'hàbits.
  • Entorn de treball saludables.
  • Educació per a pacients.
  • Programes comunitaris en promoció de la salut.

    ALZHEIMER'S DRUG DISCOVERY FOUNDATION
    The Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF) funds drug discovery and development research programs in the field of Alzheimer's disease (AD), related dementias and cognitive aging. The ADDF seeks to fill the critical translational funding gap between basic research and later stage drug development by funding promising drug discovery and development programs. In addition to funding academic programs, the ADDF also invests in and creates early stage biotechnology companies. The ADDF also co-sponsors conferences to stimulate new ideas and approaches in areas of interest to the Foundation.

    CONCERN FOUNDATION
    Concern Foundation has funded well over 650 pediatric and adult cancer researchers worldwide studying many forms of cancer, primarily in the areas of immunology, immunotherapy, and the genetics of cancer. Concern specifically funds researchers who lack financial support for their first major research project and provides critically needed start-up funds for promising projects.

    FONDATION LEDUCQ
    Fondation Leducq is a French non-profit health research foundation, the mission of which is to improve human health through international efforts to combat cardiovascular disease.

    The principal aim of this program is to bring together international teams of researchers with complementary expertise and resources so that they can accomplish together what the members could not do individually. The networks supported by the foundation should advance the science of cardiovascular and neurovascular disease, apply the knowledge gained through research towards the development of technology and therapeutics to improve human health, and support early-career investigators in cardiovascular and neurovascular disease.
    Each network is built around a transatlantic research alliance involving two network coordinators, the European Coordinator and the North American Coordinator.

    DANONE INSTITUTE INTERNATIONAL
    Proposals are requested for projects focused on health benefits associated with yogurt consumption. Research focused in the following areas are particularly encouraged:
  • mechanisms of action
  • pediatric populations
  • live microbes and milk fermentation benefits.
    The grant is supported by Danone Institute International in collaboration with the American Society for Nutrition (ASN) and the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF)

    EUROPEAN FOUNDATION FOR THE STUDY OF DIABETES (EFSD)
    The EFSD/Lilly European Diabetes Research Fund was created to promote increased European diabetes research and to increase public awareness and political understanding of the magnitude and burden of the disease. The EFSD/Lilly Programme will accept applications within any area of basic or clinical diabetes research.

    COST (COOPERACIÓ EUROPEA EN L'ÀMBIT DE LA RECERCA CIENTIFICA I TÈCNICA)
    COST dóna suport a activitats en xarxa com reunions, conferències, intercanvis científics de curta durada i activitats de promoció. Es convida a presentar propostes que contribueixin al desenvolupament científic, tecnològic, econòmic, cultural o social a Europa. Acull amb especial interès les propostes que tinguin un paper precursor respecte d'altres programes europeus i/o estiguin posades en marxa per investigadors novells.

    THE COMPANY OF BIOLOGISTS
    The Company of Biologists' journals – Development, Journal of Cell Science, The Journal of Experimental Biology, and Disease Models & Mechanisms (DMM) – consider funding requests from the organisers of a range of charitable activities deemed to lie within its remit. These include, but are not limited to, meetings, workshops and conferences in the fields covered by our journals, support of young scientists and funding for plenary or keynote speakers attending meetings.

    AECC - ASOCIACIÓN ESPAÑOLA CONTRA EL CANCER
    Els programes estan destinats a professionals i investigadors d’àrees relacionades amb l’oncologia, que puguin acreditar un mínim de 5 anys d’experiència i que estiguin interessats en un període de formació oncològica d'un mínim de 3 mesos i un màxim de 12 a un centre nacional o estranger.

    COMISSIÓ EUROPEA
    ERA-NETs are projects funded by the European Commission in various research fields. Their goal is to create a European Research Area in which research is conducted and funded across countries, allowing research groups to jointly work on specific problems, exchange ideas, and benefit from cross border expertise.
    The current project NEURON II co-ordinates national and regional programmes for disease-related neuroscience research in 24 participant funding organisations across 18 European Member States, Israel as an Associated Country, and Canada.

    The goal of Individual Fellowships is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of experienced researchers wishing to diversify their individual competence in terms of skill acquisition at multi- or interdisciplinary level through advanced training, international and intersectoral mobility.

    Support is foreseen for individual, trans-national fellowships awarded to the best or most promising researchers for employment in EU Member States or Associated Countries, based on an application made jointly by the researcher and host organisation in the academic or non-academic sectors.

    The EIPOD programme underlines EMBL’s strong commitment to promoting interdisciplinary research. The institution has a long-standing tradition of scientific excellence that builds on highly interactive research between the group leaders of different research units. EIPOD projects capitalise on synergies emerging at the borders of overlapping yet separate scientific fields, and involve transferring techniques to a novel context. The programme is open to all nationalities and offers about 20 positions annually.

    EIPODs will join the EMBL Postdoctoral Programme with its broad range of advanced training and career development opportunities.
