EFIS - EUROPEAN FEDERATION OF IMMUNOLOGICAL SOCIETIES
EFIS and the European Journal of Immunology (EJI) are proud to offer financial support for immunology-themed meetings, workshops and schools that are organized in Europe and are international in nature.

Specifically, through its support, EFIS aims to enhance interaction between young scientists and established immunologists, providing funding to be used as travel bursaries to award to eligible and deserving junior researchers who, in many cases, would be unable to attend quality immunology-themed events without such support.

NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION
Through the CRCNS program, the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, BMBF), the French National Research Agency (Agence Nationale de la Recherche, ANR), the United States-Israel Binational Science Foundation (BSF), Japan’s National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), and the State Research Agency (Agencia Estatal de Investigación, AEI) and National Institute of Health Carlos III (Instituto de Salud Carlos III, ISCIII), both of Spain, support collaborative activities that will advance the understanding of nervous system structure and function, mechanisms underlying nervous system disorders, and computational strategies used by the nervous system.
Two types of proposals will be considered in response to this call:
  • Research Proposals describing collaborative research projects, and
  • Data Sharing Proposals to enable sharing of data and other resources.

    Els ajuts a projectes d'investigació objecte d'aquesta convocatòria responen al compromís de la Fundació BBVA amb l'impuls de la investigació científica i la seva projecció a la societat, com a forma d'ampliar les oportunitats individuals i col·lectives i abordar de manera eficaç els principals reptes del segle XXI.

    A l'àrea d'Ecologia i Biologia de la Conservació, les ajudes s'adrecen a projectes de recerca amb un focus explícit en actuacions de conservació d'hàbitats i / o espècies amenaçades a Espanya, preferentment en col·laboració amb organitzacions conservacionistes i / o agències públiques.
    A l'àrea d'Economia i Societat Digital, les ajudes es destinaran a projectes d'investigació orientats al coneixement de la societat digital des de la perspectiva de l'economia, la sociologia, la psicologia social i les ciències de l'educació.
    A l'àrea d'Humanitats Digitals, els projectes de recerca haurien d'estar orientats a l'ús innovador de les tecnologies de la informació i de tècniques estadístiques avançades per al tractament d'objectes propis de les humanitats, l'abordatge dels nous objectes digitals, així com l'anàlisi dels gamma de projectors Internet en el pla de la cultura.
    A l'àrea de Big Data, les ajudes aniran destinades a projectes de recerca bàsica o aplicada per a l'anàlisi de big and complex data, incloent tècniques i algoritmes de machine learning, classificació and regression trees, linear models for wide data, random forest and boosting , support vector machines, nucli methods i pattern recognition o data visualization.
